Holy Quran is the last book of Allah Almighty which was dismounted on the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W.) by His (Almighty) Mercy and good graces. As it was dismounted on the last and most beloved Prophet (S.A.W.W.) of Allah Almighty so He had promised to our beloved Prophet (S.A.W.W) to protect it Himself. Our beloved Prophet had established the importance of Quran as:  “All the previous Prophets of Allah Almighty were bestowed with miracles and with those miracles the people believed in them, but what I have been bestowed with is the Holy Quran which Allah has disclosed to me. So I hope that my followers will outnumber the followers of the other Prophets on the Day of Resurrection.” (Bukhari no. 4981, Muslim no. 152 - [Sahih]) 

On another occasion he (S.A.W.W.) said that “The finest ones among the Muslims are those who learn the Qur’an and then teach it to others" (Source: Bukhari no. 5027, Tirmidhee no. 2909 – [Sahih])
